Egon Schiele was an Austrian painter and draftsman, born on June 12, 1890, and died on October 31, 1918, at just 28 years old. Despite his short life, he made a profound impact on early 20th-century art, and heโs best known for his raw, emotionally intense, and often erotic depictions of the human figure.
He was a protรฉgรฉ of Gustav Klimt and associated with the Expressionist movement. Schieleโs work stands out for its distorted forms, and exploration of sexuality, death, and the human psyche.
