Kamisaka Sekka (1866–1942) was a Japanese artist and designer renowned for revitalising traditional Rimpa art in the modern era. A master of painting, printmaking, and design, Sekka blended classical Japanese aesthetics with bold colours, simplified forms, and modern composition, creating a distinctive and influential style.

One of his most famous works, Momoyogusa (A World of Things), showcases his ability to fuse elegance and innovation, presenting nature, folklore, and everyday objects with decorative flair and modern sensibility. Sekka played a key role in preserving Japanese artistic traditions while pushing them into the 20th century.
